Warum ich meine Begegnungen<\/strong> fotografiert habe und hier zeige<\/h2>

Fast 100 Menschen, die ich vorher nicht kannte, bin ich in den zwei Monaten der 1. Etappe meiner Ostsee-Umrundung begegnet, also im Durchschnitt anderthalb mal pro Tag habe ich mit jemandem mehr als das Notwendigste wie beim Einkaufen oder beim Fragen nach dem Weg gesprochen; nicht gerechnet die zahlreichen Menschen, die ich nicht fotografiert habe und die trotzdem ein freundliches Wort, einen hilfreichen Hinweis f\u00fcr mich hatten oder interessiert nachgefragt haben.

Und obwohl ich mir eigentlich ein recht schwaches Ged\u00e4chtnis attestiere, erinnere ich mich an fast alle Situationen, in denen diese Begegnungen stattgefunden haben \u2013 die Fotos helfen mir dabei und deshalb sind sie f\u00fcr mich wichtig geworden und ich wollte sie unbedingt auf meiner Seite nachvollziehbar darstellen, auch wenn sie schon bei Facebook gezeigt und erw\u00e4hnt wurden. Der wichtigste Grund daf\u00fcr aber ist, dass ich mich immer wieder freuen kann an ihren vielf\u00e4ltigen Gedanken, Ideen, F\u00e4higkeiten und Besonderheiten, die ich durch sie erfahren habe und die mich bereichert haben. Jede*r Mensch ist einzigartig \u2013 das zeigten die Treffen und vielleicht ein bisschen auch diese Portraits.

Auch wenn ich allein gefahren bin und den gr\u00f6\u00dften Teil der Zeit nur mit mir zu tun hatte, f\u00fchlte ich mich niemals einsam.
Dazu geh\u00f6rte \u2013 neben dem Kontakt mit meinem Liebsten und Freunden \u00fcber die bequemen Kommunikationsm\u00f6glichkeiten, die wir heute haben \u2013 auch meine Postings auf Facebook und die zahlreichen Reaktionen darauf. Denn wenn ich etwas Interessantes, fotografierens- und berichtenswertes sah, habe ich gedanklich schon die S\u00e4tze geformt, mit denen ich das kommentieren w\u00fcrde; dieser innere Dialog hat mich fast immer begleitet.

Und diese Erfahrung des alleine Reisens macht f\u00fcr mich einen eigenen Reiz aus, der die andere wunderbare M\u00f6glichkeit, beim Reisen mit anderen alles Gesehene direkt teilen zu k\u00f6nnen, erf\u00fcllend erg\u00e4nzt. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why I have photographed my encounters<\/strong> and show them here<\/em><\/h2>

During the two months of the first stage of my circumnavigation of the Baltic Sea, I met nearly 100 people that I did not know before, thus on average, one and a half times a day, I talked to somebody more than the most necessary things as shopping or asking for the way; not counting the numerous people that I did not photograph but that still had a friendly word, a helpful hint for me or asked interested. <\/em>

And although I actually have a rather weak memory, I remember almost all the situations in which these encounters took place – the photos help me with this and that’s why they became important for me and I absolutely wanted to present them on my page in a comprehensible way, even if they were already shown and mentioned on Facebook. But the most important reason for this is that I can always enjoy their manifold thoughts, ideas, abilities and special features, which I have experienced through them and which have enriched me. Every person is unique – the meetings and maybe also these portraits showed that. <\/em>

Even though I was travelling alone and most of the time only had to deal with myself, I never felt lonely.
This included – besides the contact with my loved one and friends via the comfortable communication possibilities we have today – also my postings on Facebook and the numerous reactions to them. Because when I saw something interesting, worthy of being photographed and reported on, I already formed the sentences in my mind with which I would comment on it; this inner dialogue almost always accompanied me. <\/em>

And this experience of travelling alone is a charm of its own for me, which fulfillingly complements the other wonderful possibility of being able to directly share everything I have seen with others while travelling. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Warum ich hier meine \u00dcbernachtungspl\u00e4tze<\/strong> zeige<\/h2>

Mein Webmaster Dirk hat auf meinen Wunsch hin ein Tool programmiert, das dabei helfen soll, nachzuvollziehen, wo was war \u2013 wir nennen es \u201eStory\u201c: Es ist wie eine Galerie mit Lightbox, aber mehr Raum f\u00fcr Text und vor allem mit der Kartendarstellung des Ortes. Die wird bei Durchsicht der Fotos oben links dargestellt \u2013 sofern ich 1. beim Fotografieren den Ortungsdienst aktiviert hatte (meistens) und 2. den Ort zeigen wollte (private Orte nat\u00fcrlich nicht). Klickt ihr auf das Fenster, wird es gro\u00df statt des Fotos und ihr seht, wo es gemacht ist \u2013 zum Beispiel ein toller Shelter in D\u00e4nemark, den ihr dann finden k\u00f6nnt, wenn ihr selbst mal dort unterwegs seid. Klickt ihr auf den Poi, \u00f6ffnet sich die gro\u00dfe Karte.
Au\u00dfer dem Foto vom \u00dcbernachtungsplatz zeige ich auch die Umgebung, so dass ihr euch ein Bild davon machen k\u00f6nnt. Zum Teil gebe ich dazu Tipps, z. B. wen man fragen kann, wenn es Privatgel\u00e4nde ist oder wie ich \u00fcberhaupt so sch\u00f6ne Pl\u00e4tze finde.
Wenn ihr die Karten weiterklickt, k\u00f6nnt ihr sehen, wie ich mich vorw\u00e4rtsbewegt habe von einem Schlafplatz zum n\u00e4chsten.

Why I show my overnight stays<\/strong> here<\/em><\/h2>

At my request, my webmaster Dirk programmed a tool that should help to trace where what was – we call it “Story”: It’s like a gallery with a lightbox, but more space for text and especially with the map display of the location. This is shown when looking through the photos in the upper left corner – provided that 1. I had activated the tracking service when I took the photos (most of the time) and 2. I wanted to show the location (private places of course not). If you click on the window, it will become large instead of the photo and you can see where it was taken – for example a great shelter in Denmark, which you can find when you are on the road yourself. If you click on the poi, the big map opens.

Besides the photo of the place where you stayed overnight, I also show the surroundings, so that you can get a picture of it. Sometimes I give you some tips, e.g. who to ask if it’s a private area or how I find such beautiful places.
